# ChatGPT has no Create MCP App

> The + menu in ChatGPT's Plugins offers no Create MCP App until Developer mode is on.

If **+ (Add)** on [Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins) offers only **Create plugin** and **Upload plugin archive**, Developer mode is off.

1. Open **Settings → Security and login** and switch on **Developer mode**. [Open ChatGPT settings](https://chatgpt.com/settings/security)
2. Go back to [Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins) and choose **+ (Add) → Create MCP App**.

An account that already has Developer mode on may show no switch there. Then continue with [Connect ChatGPT](https://docs.memex.tools/connect-chatgpt).
