# Delete and restore notes

> Delete a note, bring it back within thirty days, and what happens after that.

## Delete a note

Open the note, press **Edit note**, then **Delete this note**.

## Restore it

**Settings › Notes** › **Open deleted notes** › **Restore**, within thirty days.

> The text is gone for good.

Assistants cannot delete. They can only propose it, and the deletion waits for you in [Review Inbox](https://docs.memex.tools/review-inbox).
