# How Review Inbox works

> What waits in Review Inbox, the verdict for each kind, amending before you approve, and deciding several at once.

Page: https://docs.memex.tools/how-review-inbox-works

Everything an assistant has filed waits here: new notes, held edits, reports, deletions and merges, newest first, with a count at the end of the **Review Inbox** row in the navigation; while the sidebar is collapsed the count stands in for the icon. **Show** filters by kind.

Each card names the kind, the note, the assistant, how long ago, and the reason it gave. Open a card to see the proposed document: a line-by-line diff of the body, tags added and removed, and the description.

## Verdicts

| Kind | Verdicts |
|---|---|
| Edit | **Apply edit** or **Reject** |
| Report | **Acknowledge** or **Dismiss** |
| Deletion | **Delete note** or **Reject proposal** |
| Merge | **Merge into this note** or **Reject proposal** |
| Pending note | **Approve note** or **Reject note** |

## Amend

**Amend** lets you change the title, body, tags or description before approving. What you approve is what is applied; the assistant is still credited with the change, and your amendment is recorded as yours.

Approval is tied to the version shown: if the draft or a note it affects changes, approval stops and leaves the work waiting. Refresh the review before deciding again. Your unsaved amendment is kept until you explicitly discard it to refresh.

## Batch

Tick several cards, optionally give one reason for the whole batch, and **Approve selected** or **Reject selected**. The confirmation says what the batch contains, and nothing in it is opened. Each selected item keeps its displayed version; changed items remain waiting and are reported as failures while unchanged items can succeed.

## After a verdict

A rejected note goes to Deleted notes for thirty days. A rejected edit is simply removed. An edit that no longer applies because the note changed underneath it shows "This edit no longer applies" and cannot be approved.

Only you, in a browser, can decide anything here; assistants can read the inbox but never approve or reject.
